As the vast majority of the population in Azerbaijan is Muslim, much attention is paid to the construction of new mosques and the preservation of ancient religious buildings. Considering the ornaments used in the artistic design of our mosques, we can note that the works of art created by the masters living in this area testify to their craftsmanship. The ornamental system used in the artistic design of mosques incorporates all external forms of our national culture and art. Despite the invasion and destruction of our country throughout history, our national ornaments have undergone certain changes, but have preserved their original form and enriched the artistic design of our mosques.
